Hill County Paw Pals Recycling Cans to Save Lives

Hill County Paw Pals, the group building and then donating an animal shelter to Hillsboro with goals to evolve into “contracted” county-use, is pleased to announce their aluminum can recycling project.  Ronnie and Dana Fuchs, proprietors of CenTex Trailers, Inc., donated a 16’ trailer designed specifically for storing aluminum cans to our organization.  Paw Pals will start collecting aluminum cans on the first Tuesday of each month during our Low Cost Sterilization/Vaccination Clinic.  Jean Landis and her husband “JD” has volunteered to keep the trailer at her place to store the donated cans.  In general, the recycling concept will be people dropping their cans (please only clean aluminum cans—crushed if possible) off at the clinic which is held on the first Tuesday of each month from 8am to 5pm.  Once the trailer is full, Jean will pull the trailer to a recycling center and cash the crop of aluminum cans for dollars.  The fund will be directed to Paw Pals’ Spay/Neuter and Adoption Programs.  Please support this project by saving your aluminum cans and donating them to our cause.

Call Jean at 582-5011 for questions or Paw Pals at 580-0679.
