Itasca Girl Scout Troop 4701 Supports Paw Pals

Girl Scout Troop 4701

Brittany Moreno regularly volunteers at the Pet Adoption Center (PAC) with her 6 year old daughter, Emma.  Recently, Brittany and Emma invited Girl Scout Troop 4701 from Itasca to visit the PAC.  The girls, with their troop leader, Lisa Brown and several moms, brought toys, treats and bedding for the dogs and cats.  At their last meeting, they made “homemade” dog and cat treats for the PAC animals as well (the recipe is posted on the volunteer board).  The girls toured the facility and spent time providing socialization for the dogs and cats.  A great time was had by all.  Pictured front row seated are Abby Salinas, Mackenzie Hernandez, Emma Moreno, Samantha Forbus (step-sister to Katy, Chloe, and Kylee).  Pictured back row are Lisa Brown, Heather Odom, Karlea Karlik, Rebecca Salinas, Katy Sherber, Gwendolyn Brown, Elizabeth Brown, Kylee Sherber, Bailee Smith and Chloe Sherber.  Troop 4701 is certainly living up to the Girl Scout’s law where it states: “I will do my best to be honest and fair, friendly and helpful, considerate and caring, courageous and strong, and responsible for what I say and do, and to respect myself and others, respect authority, use resources wisely, make the world a better place, and be a sister to every Girl Scout.”
